There's Something for Everyone at Oregon Inlet Fishing Center!!

Sep 27, 2018

Too often, the focus on off-shore fishing, but our In-Shore captains and our Near-Shore captains treat their anglers to some pretty spectacular catches, on light tackle to boot!  Breena Banks landed and released a 42" red drum as did Cam Cooper and Robert Taylor, earning themselves trophy citations today!  Jaiden Gray landed and released a 44" red drum! Awesome!!  Anglers also pulled in speckled trout, spanish macs, and flounder aboard In-Shore boats! Near-Shore anglers enjoyed great spanish mac fishing and pulled in good numbers of king mackerel today!

Miss Oregon Inlet anglers had a nice variety of fish this morning! The day started off with very nice grey trout, which were soon followed by some good size sea mullet and a few flounder!  Pinfish, pigfish, sea robin, and lizardfish also came across the rails and Captain Randy reminded anglers "just because it might be ugly, doesn't mean it isn't tasty!" Take a trip on the Miss Oregon Inlet and gather a few recipes from Captain Randy! Trips are offered Monday through Saturday departing at 8 a.m. Tickets are available and advanced purchase is strongly recommended. Purchase by phone 1-800-272-5199 or online at www.missoregoninlet.com.

Off-Shore anglers put on quite a flag show this afternoon! Congrats to our anglers releasing white marlin: Joseph Edwards, Ryan Edwards, Brian McAllister, David Pylar, Paula Smith, Tony Spero, Tony Strawderman, and Alton Wynne. Nice work!  Anglers also pulled in limits and near limits of mahi and a few yellow-fin tuna, black fin tuna, as well as a 45 lb wahoo landed by Alton Wynne! Amazing September day!

Dolphin watching cruises are still available and advanced reservations are needed. We've been enjoying some great activity this summer, often starting right here behind the fishing center! Give us a call to get your reservations made! 1-800-272-5199 or visit our homepage to check boat availability and book online.

We are taking requests for make-up charters online or here at the Booking Desk! Fall fishing is heating up! Join us!
