September is a Wrap (Or Maybe a Taco)

Sep 30, 2018

Anglers caught some amazing tablefare today!  Excellent numbers of yellow-fin and limits of mahi were coming out of the fishboxes today! But, the big story is wahoo!  Good numbers of wahoo were displayed today, including a 44 lb beast landed by Frank Butz, and a 43 lb chunker brought in by Keith Sullivan. Nice work! Several boats returned to the marina with flags flying, and we send congrats out to anglers releasing those billfish!

Near-shore anglers are enjoying some great spanish mackerel fishing, with some excellent weights. We're consistently seeing fish in the 4 to 5 lb range coming out the fish boxes over the last few days. Anglers are also catching king macs and bluefish, as well.

In-shore anglers were enjoying great light tackle fishing, pulling in nice size speckled trout, spanish mackerel, flounder, and bluefish.

Tickets are available for the Miss Oregon Inlet headboat next week and advanced purchase is recommended. Visit www.missoregoninlet.com to book online or call 1-800-272-5199 to purchase over the phone with any major credit card.
