SATURDAY SUNDAY MONDAY
Saturday's fishing report was a little hard to give since we had 10 boats go Offshore and 2 AM trips for Inshore/Nearshore. Out of the 10 boats we had 21 Billfish releases though!!! A nice average! The high boat had 6 White Marlin and 2 Sails and we also had a boat release a GRAND SLAM!!! That would be the 4th Grand Slam for the season! We still got some Yellowfin Tunas and Dolphins. There were 3 limits of Dolphin and 1 thick catch of Tunas! George, the mate on the Seabreeze, told me that they were bailing dolphin and had a Blue Marlin plow through the middle of them to grab a little lunch! That would have been a killer sight to see! There were a couple tunas that also got a tail knocked off by a shark.
Saturdays fishing really made us think that Sunday was going to be great, The Alice Kelly Ladies Tournament was on Sunday. There were 59 boats entered in the tournament and 19 of them were ours. Everyone left a little late Sunday morning around 6, the rules say that every boat cannot put their lines in the water until 9AM (and lines out at 3PM). The water was slick calm out there just like glass, it couldn't have been better. The conditions looked like we were going to have some great fishing too. We ended up with 4 Sailfish 8 White Marlin and 2 Blue Marlin out of our fleet. The First place boat from was the Sniper from Virginia Beach, VA with 1 Blue Marlin and 3 White Marlin. Second place was our very own Bi-Op-Sea with 2 White Marlins and 1 Sailfish! Our other two boats got trophy's also: The Rigged Up for the biggest Wahoo weighing 36 Lbs and The Skiligal won the Dolphin Calcutta of $6,800.00 with a 36 Lb Dolphin!!! Pretty work you guys! We are so proud of you!!! Congratulations to everyone who did well in the tournament!!!
Monday was a turn around, we had 36 White Marlin A Blue Marlin, 4 Wahoo, and a 29 and 36 Lb Dolphin caught! The Blackfin tunas really showed up also. We are all assuming the wild lightning and rain storms we had must have washed us out on Sunday because fishing picked right back up after one day. We hope that this week is going to be completely insane fishing for our boats who are entered in the Pirates Cove Big Game Tournament that starts today (Tueday)! Tuesday through Friday we should be seeing some major fishing reports. Don't forget that we have boats that are not fishing in this tournament that are available for you!!! There are no good reasons why you shouldn't take this opportunity to go fishing right now. The weather is clear and this is really something you don't want to miss. Our high boat had 8 White Marlins today!!! If Offshore isn't your thing, We have Inshore and Nearshore-
Half Day and Full Day trips. They have some great fishing going on too. This is the time you want to go catch some of the Speckled Trout, Puppy Drum and even a Flounder or two. We have Fly Fishing boats that are catching the same things and also having some Spinner Shark and Cobia action on Fly and Spinning reels. We had 6 Cobia's caught on Sunday and also a couple nice fish boxes full of Triggerfish Nearshore. Take the kids fishing right off the beach to catch our Bluefish and Spanish, or even some White Dotter Sharks! They will absolutely love it! Our pictures are still giving us a hard time right now so please know that you can always check them out on our Facebook "Like" Page.
