OFF-SHORE FEATURE: TROPHY HUNTER

Feb 18, 2016

OFF-SHORE FLEET

Mate: Billy Dickerson

It's a widely known fact that a parent is a child's greatest influence, painting broad strokes that shape a child's future. Captain Kenneth Brown is no exception, practically growing up on a charter boat skippered by his father, Billy Brown. He would spend 10 summers as his father's first mate, garnering solid lessons of the sea, fishing, and the importance of the waterman's impact on the livelihood of Outer Banks. During his college years, Captain Kenneth wanted to try his hand at Gulf Stream fishing, serving as first mate for Outer Banks favorite son Omie Tillet, as well as others, learning the charter business from some of the masters. He proudly sails out each morning alongside his mentors and touts the teamwork between all of the vessels as one of the many keys to his success. Captain Kenneth has become a respected captain in his own right and takes great pride in giving his anglers the opportunity for a most productive yet memorable experience. With so many of his groups returning year after year to fish with Captain Kenneth, his available days tend to book quickly. Whether you aim to collect a few billfish flags, put meat in the box, or a trophy on the wall, Captain Kenneth and the crew of the "Trophy Hunter" will work hard to help you achieve your goals for the day.

The "Trophy Hunter" is a 55 foot custom masterpiece built by OBX master crafter Buddy Cannady and it is your perfect utopian retreat, providing all the creature comforts for your Outer Banks fishing experience. You can enjoy any season fishing aboard the "Trophy Hunter". The salon is heated and air- conditioned with plenty of room for your group to stretch out in comfort. There is a spacious food prep area with great countertop space and a microwave. The media components include TV, DVD, IPod, and Sirius satellite components. The TV is interfaced with bridge electronics enabling viewing of Sirius satellite weather, water temperature, etc. Out in the cockpit, there's a fighting chair waiting to help you wage your battle for the "big one".
