Now That's What We're Talking About!

Jun 6, 2018

Wednesday was a "fin"onmenal day off-shore and near-shore for our anglers! Off-Shore anglers, some returning in before 12:30 p.m., enjoyed limits of yellow-fin tuna, good numbers of mahi, and some nice big-eye tuna, with weights over 100 lbs.

Near-shore anglers had some busy reels today. They enjoyed really good spanish mackerel fishing and some keeper king macs along with a few bluefish.

Anglers In-shore were on the hunt for cobia again today, with a few sightings but nothing much biting. There were some good spanish catches and a few flounder hook ups.

Fishing on the Miss Oregon Inlet Headboat was a bit slow today as anglers experienced several wind direction shifts on both trips. There were a few catches of sea mullet, trout, and spot.

The Safari Dolphin Tours enjoyed 2 afternoon cruises today with a bit of dolphin activity. Join Capt Tex this week for your leisurely trip through the sound waters on the search for the playful pods! Tickets are available on all trips and advanced purchase is recommended, either online or by phone 1-800-272-5199.

Come to the docks around 2:30 p.m. and watch the boats coming back in! It's a great show and then catch the 5:30 evening cruise on the Safari to round out a perfect day at the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center!
