Little Bit of Improvement

Jul 27, 2018

Thursday's catch was a little bit scrappy, but today was an improvement. Still not what we're famous for, but we'll take it. Anglers in-shore are seeing a very nice showing of speckled trout, with several taking their limits of some tasty tablefare. Anglers were also pulling in good numbers of bluefish and a few nice mullet. Congrats to Joe Ribitzki for his trophy citation red drum release! Nice work!

Anglers Near-Shore were struggling just a little bit with finding the spanish macks, but pulled in bluefish and mullet around the inlet.

Off-Shore anglers enjoyed a better day. Several anglers pulled in mahi, black-fin, and a few tiles. Congrats to Luke Sipe for landing a 40 mahi mahi and to Alton Inyran for pulling in a 62 lb wahoo!  The billfishing was improved as well, with quite a few trophy citations earned.

Congrats to our anglers releasing white marlin:

Chip Cray - 2 released, Jesse Rohrer, and Tim Wuchter - 3 released.

Congrats to our anglers releasing sailfish:

Frankie Arndt and John Futrell.

Miss Oregon Inlet anglers pulled in sea bass, flounder, spot, and croaker on both trips today.

Tickets are available for our Safari Dolphin Watching cruises and we offer 5 trips daily. Purchase tickets online or by phone 1-800-272-5199. We are hopeful for a good break in the weather and a nice show from the dolphin.

Individuals are signing up for Make-Up Charters and we've got a good list going. Get your request in today and we'll work to pull together some groups to send out fishing! Complete your request here on our website or visit us in person at the Booking Desk!
