KEEP CALM AND FISH @OIFC

Jul 29, 2013

Wow today was a rainy one! It rained offshore, inshore, all over the place. We still caught fish though :) We had a couple Bigeyes caught, one on the upper end and one on the lower end. We only got the weight of one of them but it was a 199 Lb fish! These Bigeyes are insane how big they are. If you haven't been down here and witnessed it for yourself yet you really should! You can sit back and watch the crowd freak out when they bring these fish off the boat. Tomorrow might be the day you see some more Bigeye's thrown down. The rain clouds are what they like. Not so much the rain itself but the cloudy days seem to stir them up. Our Yellowfin Tuna fishing is holding some bigger fish right now in the 40Lb+ range. We call them Buff Tuna's. Even just a couple of those guys and you are good to go! Some billfish were caught and released today and some dolphin were piled up as well. We are still seeing more Wahoo's and those huge 35Lb+ gaffer dolphins are being caught. Our inshore fleet dealt with some rain today but the ones that got out had some fun with the Red Drum fishing and Cobia's! A few Drum's were released and we had a couple Cobia's cleaned to take home! Just right, some action and some dinner! Nearshore caught the Spanish Mackerel's and some Triggerfish. They always have a great time out there and send in pictures. If you can get on Facebook and Twitter you can see them as we post them. We are putting together Make-Up trips all day tomorrow so do me a favor and get signed up for the next one! We will be there bright and early at 5AM for you to call 252.441.6301 or just book your trip OR make-up trip right on-line! There will be updates when the boats start coming in, so keep up with us tomorrow! Those of you fishing in the morning, Get Excited!!!!
