It's OK To Be Yellow!!

Oct 6, 2018

Nothing cowardly about our anglers venturing out today! After our captains navigated the bar, the race was on to pull in yellow-fin, black-fin, mahi, and wahoo. A big story was a 71 lb wahoo landed by Gary Gaddy. Gary and his friends with the Guiseppe Guerillmo Memorial Scholarship group took over 5 boats today and enjoyed some amazing fishing! Congrats to Mark Jordan, Jason Owen, Justin Owen, Jeff Sater, and Brian Yates on white marlin releases. Great work, guys!  We were also proud to host Tinder Wholesale aboard 4 boats today as they celebrated 20+ years of fishing out of Oregon Inlet Fishing Center! We were more than honored to host a great group of our nation's finest, retired and active duty, aboard the Escape: thank you for your service!!

Near-Shore angler, Emily Vayo, was not to be left out, earning herself a trophy citation for a 6.6 lb spanish mackerel! Super work, Emily! Other near-shore anglers pulled in good numbers of spanish macs, nearly making the trophy weight.

In-shore anglers enjoyed a good day of fishing, as well. Speckled trout, spanish macks, and bluefish filled the fish boxes today.

Miss Oregon Inlet anglers had a busy day on the reels, pulling in some good keeper flounder, sea mullet, sea robin, pigs, pins, and striped bass. Tickets are available and advanced purchase is recommended. Visit www.missoregoninlet.com or purchase by phone 1-800-272-5199.

The Safari Dolphin tours are available. Give us a call for times and ticket availability.
