FOR THE RECORD

Oct 30, 2013

Wow, didn't expect to see some of the things we saw this afternoon, but very grateful! There were only 5 Offshore boats out and one all day trip Nearshore, but what a pretty day to be fishing! The weather was at a nice 68 degrees down at the Fishing Center and we all were enjoying the boats come in. First boat to park had a 400 lb Blue Marlin release along with a nice 56 lb Wahoo, a couple Yellowfin and some Blackfin and Tile. Then we had another boat come home with a Sailfish release, 3 Wahoo and some Blackfin. The Third boat had a fish on board that was a record fish, a 34 lb Blackfin!!! We were hoping it was a State record but it looks like it was about 6 lbs shy. Still 34 lbs is a stellar fish and we are super proud of our angler Thax Parker from Bedford, VA! Way to go buddy! They also had a couple other citations, a 54 lb Wahoo and 2 other Blackfins weighing 22 and 24 lbs! The last 2 Citations we have for you is from a lady angler named Michele Sayers from Golden Valley, Minnesota who went out with her brother-in-law and cousin on a Makeup trip. Michele landed a herself a 30 lb Grouper!!! Go ahead girl!!! She gave her 2 guys a lot of credit for helping her get the fish to the boat but she her fish up like a pro when we got to see her at the dock. This crowd also brought home a citation Blackfin weighing 20 lbs along with some Dolphin and Tilefish. Last but not least we had our Nearshore trip roll in with a beautiful catch of dinner plate sized Triggerfish and some meaty Sheepshead. 2 five gallon buckets full of fish of some goooood eating! We will keep booking trips throughout the fall and keeping you updated as much as possible. If you are down on the Outer Banks and want to go have some fun give this number a call 252.441.6301 or you can browse our selection of fishing trips and boats right here online! Congratulations to our Anglers who took home citations! If you didn't fill yours out, come back and see us at the booking desk!!! Have a good one!
