FISHING-RERPORT 07-04-12

Jul 4, 2012

Summer has brought about warm air that has in turn warm water everywhere. Offshore lots of dolphin nice size bailers and a god many gaffer size. Yellowfin tuna not as numerous but good size. Billfish both white and blue marlin and sailfish. We are bound to see some grand slams . Some nice wahoos being caught. All the billfish have been released. Citations were applied for four blue marlin, one white marlin and a 71 pound yellowfin tuna. Inshore boats caught tailor bluefish and spanish mackerlel. Open boats had great speckled trout fishing (lots 0f keepers). A cobia was caught in the morning, four were caught in the afternoon. Miss Oregon inlet caught triggerfish, sea mullet and flounders.
