FISHING-REPORT-10-15-12

Oct 15, 2012

All five of the boats that fished offshore had good catches of tuna. All but one had wahoos, three had gaffer size dolphin. One boat had 14 yellowfin tuna, another had 11. All had blackfin tuna. A vaiety of sharks were a problem. They consumed a couple of nice size tunas. One big hammerhead was hooked in it's dorsal fin causing a lot of time lost trying to cope with it. An open boat caught a good mess of bluefish, a few sheepsheads and trout. An other open boat caught grey trout, flounders, and keeper puppy drum. There are a lot of red drum just short of being keepers. It was a beautiful day to be on the water inshore or offshore. A lot of clear beautiful days occur during this time of the year.
