FISHING REPORT 09-01-16

Sep 1, 2016

The calm before another storm produced some really good fishing today! Anglers off-shore pulled in limits of yellow-fin tuna, some very nice wahoo, and limits of dolphin. There were also multiple billfish releases. Congrats to Timothy VanBuren for his trophy citation wahoo, weighing in at 49 lbs and to Shawn Clark for his trophy citation wahoo, weighing 40 lbs! Congrats to Wilson Broach, Brandon Crocker, Alan Huband, Daniel Madren, and Corey Pendergrass for sailfish releases! Congrats to Brandon Crocker, Alan Huband, David LaDouceur, Berry Miller, and Corey Pendergrass for white marlin releases!

Near-Shore boats enjoyed catches of spanish macs, some ribbonfish, king macs, albacore, and a shark.

In-Shore boats had busy trips today, with anglers reeling in good numbers of speckled trout, flounder, and stripers.

This Miss Oregon Inlet Headboat had some really interesting fishing both trips, with anglers reeling in flounder, sea bass, sea mullet, pigfish, pinfish, sea robin, pufferfish and catch and release puppy drum.
