FISHING REPORT 08-24-16
Blue skies and salty breezes are a wonderful combination here on the Outer Banks. Add in some sunshine, bait, rods, and a boat and you are on your way to a memorable vacation!
Anglers aboard off-shore charters had another amazing day of billfish releases! Congrats to Sam Green, Brad Hughes, Braden Niper, and Sid Niper for white marlin releases! Lots of sailfish releases today - congrats to Evan Benze, Steve Bowman (3), Jay Chance, John Fabian, Stephen Green, Andy Kuhlman, Donald Lofstrom, Teddy Malone (3), Phillip Maner (7), Roger Maner (6), Matthew Maner (6), Zach Morris, Braden Niper, Sid Niper, Kevin O'Neill, Ryan Snow, Jeffrey Walbrecher, and Lynn Warner. My! What a list! Anglers also pulled in a yellow-fin tuna, some dolphin, tilefish, and sea bass as well today.
Near-Shore anglers enjoyed good fishing morning and afternoon trips, pulling in albacore, bluefish, spanish macs, and moonfish.
In-Shore anglers also had good fishing today, reeling in good numbers of speckled trout, bluefish, and spanish.
The Miss Oregon Inlet Headboat had busy trips morning and afternoon. Anglers enjoyed reeling in flounder, sea mullet, bluefish, spot, croakers, pigfish, pinfish, and sea bass.
