FISHING REPORT 08-23-16

Another beautiful day on the Outer Banks and the bills keep adding up! Congrats to Barry Germanoski, Tim Miller, and Lawrence Russell for blue marlin releases! Congrats to Stephen Brown, Rick DeWitt, Jess Garcia, Craig McKinney, Tim Miller, Brad Schlater (2), Shawn Skipper, Jesse Wendig, and Zachary Wendig for white marlin releases! Congrats to Robert Courtney, Paul Fallat, Evan Ferguson, Travis Gentzler, Scott Ginter, Warren Jervey, Gregory Minnick, Jonathan Owens, Michael Owens, Anthony Padula, William Prucha, Signe Renstrom, Richard Thoms, Ronald Walters, Frederick Wendig, Zachary Wendig, and Jason Wiercinski for sailfish releases! Special shout-out to Barry Germanoski for his trophy citation mahi mahi, weighing in at 42 pounds! Anglers also pulled in more mahi mahi, a yellow-fin tuna, and tilefish today. Super job, anglers!!!

Near-Shore anglers had good fishing morning and afternoon, reeling in bluefish, spanish macs, amberjack, and albacore.

In-Shore anglers had good fishing as well, pulling in good numbers of speckled trout, sea mullet, croaker, amberjack, a cobia, and a shark.

Anglers aboard the Miss Oregon Inlet on morning and afternoon trips, reeled in good numbers of flounder, sea mullet, spot, sea bass, pinfish, pigfish, sea robin, and some spadefish.
