FISHING-REPORT-08-22-12

Offshore a fine mixture of billfish, sailfish, white marlin with at least two blue marlin, tuna both yellowfins and blackfins and wahoo. Joshua Folds age 7 got a citation for the 25 pound blackfin tuna that he caught. Inshore tailor bluefish, spanish mackerel, false albacore and a nice catch consisting of tilefish, sea bass and ling cod made by a bottomfishin trip. Open boats, some had excellent speckled trout, some caught cobia and others caught triggerfish, and sea bass in the morning and flounders that weighed 6 pounds and eight pounds in the afternoon. Miss oregoninlet caught flounders, sea mullet, pigfish and puffers emphasis on sea mullet.
