FISHING REPORT 08-18-16

Aug 18, 2016

We'll get to fish in a minute - the BIG excitement here at the fishing center was the enormous water spout behind the building. OBX weather events can be nothing short of _________________ (you fill in the blank)! Visit our Facebook page for shares of the event from our anglers! Since anglers were greeted at the docks with a torrential downpour, there's not alot of photos from the docks.

Anglers on our off-shore charters had catches of wahoo, dolphin, a few black-fin tuna, tilefish, and a few yellow-fin. Congrats to Alexa Easton for her white marlin release! Congrats to Cory Easton, Jerel Ward, and Ayrik Moran for sailfish releases! Congrats to Jerel Ward for his trophy citation wahoo, weighing in at 41 lbs! Great work!

Near-Shore anglers were pulling in some hefty amberjack, some albacore, spanish macs, bluefish, and a few shark.

In-Shore anglers had good fishing today as well, pulling in amberjack, albacore, and red drum. Congrats to Randy Kline for his 52" red drum release! Super work!

Anglers aboard the Miss Oregon Inlet caught flounder, blues, sea mullet, croaker, sea bass, trout, pigfish, and pinfish.

Give us a call and let us take you fishing! There's never a dull moment on any of our charters and there's always excitement on the docks! 1-800-272-5199

We're sharing some photos from 8-16-16, courtesy of Brian Smack. His sons, 10 yr old James and 7 yr old Robert, fought and released a blue marlin and a sailfish! Awesome to see youngsters becoming seasoned anglers!
