FISHING REPORT 08-12-16

Aug 12, 2016

The fishing is fantastic and the weather is beautiful and THAT is an awesome combination to have! Anglers were busy today across the entire fleet and lots of activity this afternoon on the docks! Of special mention today is a group of youngsters who absolutely stole the show for the billfish trophy citations, wrangling 4 white marlins and a 41 pound wahoo! They fought 'em and they landed 'em! Congrats to Thomas Anderson for his 41 pound wahoo, Tee Anderson for 2 white marlin releases, and Laura Burn 2 white marlin releases! Great job!! Congrats to Dennis Starliper for his 35 lb dolphin! Congrats to Kevin Fears for his 3 sailfish releases and to Chris Thrift for his sailfish release! Congrats to Rick Borcharat, Kevin Fears, Chris Hunter, Elijack McEathron, Ana Mashek, Alan South, and Shaun Todd for their white marlin releases! Sensational!! Congrats to Steve Larson, Daniel McEathron, Chainsaw Russell, and Telly Surber for their blue marlin releases! Amazing!! Of special mention is the Grand Slam by Chainsaw Russell and his gang!

Anglers also pulled in a few more wahoo and limits of dolphin and tilefish today.

Near-Shore anglers had some good spanish macs and bluefish today. In-Shore anglers had some great speckled trout, blues, spanish, and some amberjack as well as a few sharks. There was also a cobia catch today.

The Miss Oregon Inlet Headboat had great trips again today, with anglers pulling in more good flounder, sea mullet, puffers, pins, pigs, gray trout, and sea bass.

Come on down, the water's great, the sun is shining, and the captains are ready to take you fishing!! Give us a call 1-800-272-5199!
