FISHING REPORT 08-09-16

Aug 9, 2016

WOW!! What an amazing day for anglers with the Oregon Inlet Fleet!! Super day for billfish anglers!! Lots of congratulations to go around, but first we must humbly recognize the service and sacrifice of our Wounded Warriors! Such a great group of folks fishing with us today! On behalf of a grateful community, THANK YOU and we're glad you're here!!

Congrats to our Warrior, Wilbert Nobles for his white marlin release! Congrats to Jeneva Tomlin for her trophy citation wahoo weighing in at 44 lbs! Super work young lady! Congrats to Scott Mickholtzick for his blue marlin release! Congrats to Warren Brown, Mike Frazier, Lauren James, Lewis Redman, and William Smith for white marlin releases!! Super work! Congrats to Brendan Brown, Ethan Brown, Thierry Schwarzmann, Thomas Schwarzmann, Austin Shoup, Chris Shoup, Harold Shoup, Jeremy Stone, Scott Tomlin, and Carter Upshaw for some amazing sailfish releases!

In addition to the trophy citation catches, off-shore anglers also pulled in limits of tilefish on multiple boats, and scattered yellow-fin, mahi, and black-fin.

Near-Shore anglers enjoyed an excellent day of fishing, morning and afternoon! Anglers pulled in great numbers of chunky spanish macs, bluefish, moonfish, amberjack, and tilefish.

In-Shore anglers enjoyed great fishing as well, with some super speckled trout catches, moonfish, red drum, and flounder. Congrats to Jordan Jones for a trophy citation red drum release, measuring in at 49" and to Martin Moser for another trophy citation red drum release, measuring in at 49"! Nice work!!

And, not to be outdone, the Miss Oregon Inlet Headboat had some great fishing on both trips today! Superb flounder catches today, with several measuring in over 17" and a few measuring in over 20"!! Anglers also pulled in sea mullet, bluefish, puffers, gray trout, sea bass, sea robin, croaker, pigfish, and pins.

We're waiting for you!! Seriously, it is time for you to take a fishin' day! Give us a call and let us get you booked 1-800-272-5199.
