FISHING REPORT 08-08-16

Aug 8, 2016

The Yellow Fin Tuna were a little slow today. We had a few brought into the docks. Several boats caught limits of Tile Fish. We had a nice Wahoo also reeled in and several Black Fin Tuna. The Dolphin are showing up in greater number to take the place of the Yellow Fin Tuna. The Billfish are being caught and released. The flags flying this afternoon showed 4 White Marlin, caught by Anthony Riccobono, Roger Whittington and Jeannine Gelpi; a Blue Marlin caught by Jason Weaver and a Sailfish reeled in by Michael Dallas. Congratulations on those trophy catches lady and gentlemen! The Spanish Mackerel can't hide from our Near Shore fleet. The charter boats are bringing in a huge number of Spanish Mackerel. Near Shore anglers are also catching Bluefish, King Mackerel, Albacore as well as Moonfish (Look Downs). The parties fishing our In Shore fleet are catching a good assortment of species. They were reeling in some nice-looking Speckled Trout, Moonfish, Spanish Mackerel, Albacore and King Mackerel. We also heard of several Sharks caught by our In Shore fleet. The Miss Oregon Inlet will be sailing both trips tomorrow. One at 7:00 am and the second trip leaves the docks at noon. You can book Miss Oregon Inlet online at missoregoninlet.com or call us at the booking desk at 1-800-272-5199. Book any of our private charters online at oregon- inlet.com or call us at the booking desk. Happy Fishing!
