FISHING REPORT 08-07-17

Aug 7, 2017

One of those "wait a sec...it'll change" weather days happened today, but it didn't stop our junior anglers fishing on the Miss Oregon Inlet Headboat in the 3rd Annual Youth Fishing Tourney! They were ready to fish and ready to win some great prizes! Thanks to all who participated and all proceeds benefit Cross Trail Outfitters, a local non-profit dedicated to providing positive hunting and fishing experiences for youths of all backgrounds. For more information about this great group, please visit www.teamcto.org.

Anglers Off-Shore had some luck with billfish today. Congrats to Johnathan Roberts and Justin Service for white marlin releases and to Vernon Whitesell and Stephen Van Meter for blue marlin releases! Nice work!! Congrats to Collier Key and to Brayden Smith for sailfish releases! Awesome! There were some yellow-fins, black- fins, and big-eyes brought in today, including a 200 pound monster landed by Cody Davison! Congrats on that haul!

Anglers Near-Shore are still catching some nice red drum, most earning a trophy citation for the release. There is also some good spanish and bluefish coming in, as well.

In-Shore anglers were catching and releasing some sound striper. There were also catches of speckled trout and a few flounder, as well.

If you'd like to get your time out on the water, give us a call and let us get you booked 1-800-272-5199! Log on to our homepage to submit a request to be included in Make-Up Charters, as available.

Don't sweat the weather, it'll change......get yourself booked and get out there!!
