FISHING REPORT 08-03-17

Lil bit of color comin' out of the boxes today and some nice lookin' flags flying! Anglers in the off-shore yielded to the captain's expertise and found some mahi today along with some marlin and sails! Almost a grand slam on one boat as well! Anglers also pulled in yellow-fins, black-fins, and some wahoo today. Congrats to a member of a Make-Up Charter, Tammy Gentile for her white marlin release, to Chris Long for a white marlin release, Matt Gravatt for a blue marlin release, Amanda Miller for here blue marlin release, and to 10-year old Tyler Schumaker for his blue marlin release! Nice work! Congrats to Quinton Fisher for a nice 50 lb wahoo and to David Sobata, Sr for his 159 lb big-eye tuna, and to Chris Sampler for his 159 lb big-eye! Amazing work!!

Anglers in the Near-Shore were enjoying some great fishing today, pulling in good numbers of bluefish, spanish, and some monster red drum! Congrats to Timothy Heldreth - 46.4" red, Dave Jones - 47.3" red, David Jones - 50.3" red, Margot Jones - 48.4" red, Angel Soderman - 48.5" red, and to Micheal Soderman - 46.9" red! Great day! In-Shore anglers were busy on the reels, catching a few sound striper, some specks, good numbers of bluefish, and a few spanish. Give us a call and let us get you booked.

Anglers aboard the morning and afternoon trips on the Miss Oregon Inlet also had some busy reel action today. Catches of flounder, sea mullet, croaker, spot, pinfish, pigfish, and sea bass were coming over the rails today. Tickets are available and advance purchaseis recommended.

There are still a few spaces left for your youngsters to enjoy fishing in the Miss Oregon Inlet Headboat's 3rd Annual Youth Fishing Tournament on Monday August 7. Call the fishing center to register your angler today!

Oregon Inlet Fishing Center is open Monday-Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. & Friday-Sunday 4:30 a.m.-7:00 p.m. weather permitting. Fuel Dock does not open until 8:00 a.m.
