FISHING REPORT 08-02-16

Aug 2, 2016

Tuna on the fishing report is good for business and business is GOOD!! The Outer Banks is the place to be for the best fishing and our captains continue to harvest the bounty of the sea! Our off-shore anglers pulled in some beauties today and in good numbers, too! They also pulled in some very nice wahoo, some black-fin tuna, and tilefish on multiple boats and a few anglers were proud to fly those flags coming back into the marina. Congrats to Hunter McGeeney for his blue marlin release and to James Bishop for his sailfish release. Super work!! There were also 2 white marlins released as well.

The Near-Shore anglers had a very good day of fishing, pulling in good spanish macs and bluefish.

The In-Shore action yielded some interesting catches including trout, pompano, cobia, shark, and some nice keeper red drum. There were also some red drum releases today over the 40" mark. Special congrats to Marc Post for his 50" amberjack catch! Great job!

The Miss Oregon Inlet morning anglers had some good fishing today with anglers pulling in some flounder, spanish, puffers, trout, croakers, sea mullet, pigfish, pinfish, and spot.

We'd like to congratulate our very own Capt Fin Gaddy and the Qualifier crew for winning the Boat Builders Tourney!!

We'd also like to thank all the vendors supporting our Kid's Fishing Tourney on the Miss Oregon Inlet Headboat!

We know you're ready to go fishing!! Give us a call and let's get you booked 1-800-272-5199!! Happy Fishing!!
