FISHING REPORT 08-01-17

Aug 2, 2017

Anglers were out on some beautiful blue water today and the wahoo made an amazing showing! Lots of nice ones brought in today and a few earning a trophy citation! Congrats to Michelle Hardisty for her 59 lb beast, measuring in at 67" with a 26" girth! Congrats to Jackson Lane for his 40 lb beauty, and to Charles Stach for his 60 lb chunker! Nice work! Congrats to our anglers releasing billfish today and earning trophy citations: Blue marlin anglers Annette Baldwin and Alexa Ferrone; White marlin anglers Ryder LaGuardia, Troy McLean, Austin Power, Jeffrey Power, Brian Rose, and Jeff Schuhmann. Super work! Anglers also pulled in some nice yellow-fin tuna, black-fin tuna, and some mahi.

Near-Shore anglers pulled in some good numbers of bluefish, some spanish, and some triggerfish.

In-Shore anglers are enjoying some good speckled trout fishing. There were also some catches of sound stripers, and catch and release of red drum.

Anglers on the Miss Oregon Inlet Headboat enjoyed good fishing today, pulling in sea mullet, flounder, pinfish, sea robin, flounder, pigfish, and sea bass. Tickets are available for either morning or afternoon and advanced ticket purchase is recommended. Log on to www.missoregoninlet.com to purchase online or call 1-800-272-5199 to purchase by phone.
