FISHING REPORT 08-01-16

Aug 1, 2016

We had another great day of fishing for all of fleets today. The catch of the day for Offshore was definitely the Yellow Fin Tuna again. They brought plenty of nice stout Tuna into the docks this afternoon. We also saw Dolphin and several Wahoo. The billfish are biting and we had a nice catch and release of White Marlin. The Near Shore charter boats caught a bounty of Spanish Mackerel as well as nice Bluefish. The In Shore fleet caught some Keeper Speckled Trout along with Red Drum and Cobia. We had a HUGE Citation Cobia caught on one of our In Shore boats this afternoon, weighing a whopping 70 pounds! The Miss Oregon Inlet held its Annual Kids' Tournament today. The kids brought in over 500 fish between them all!! Wow!! The Kids enjoyed the fishing and then enjoyed a nice lunch and awards ceremony after arriving back at the docks. Thanks to all the sponsors who helped make the 2016 Kids' Tournament a great success!
