FISHING REPORT 07-28-16

Jul 28, 2016

The beautiful blue Atlantic continues to impress!! The docks were teeming today with great catches and our pens were busy filling out more of those trophy citations!

In-Shore morning and afternoon charters had great catches of cobia, amberjacks, sharks, and bluefish.

Near-Shore anglers on both morning and afternoon trips pulled in some great catches of spanish macs, bluefish, and some keeper red drum. Congrats to Zack Stokes for his red drum release measuring in at 40" and to Evan Schaffhauser for his 40" red drum release.

Off-Shore anglers pulled in more great yellow- fin tuna. But, the bigger story today is the hefty wahoo's being landed. Congrats to Landon Lyles for his 46 lb catch, Adam Switzer for his 51.6 lb catch, Tyler Pavlock for his 54 lb catch, and major high fives go out to Adam Monahan for his 79 lb beast!! Super work!! There were also some great billfish releases today on multiple boats. Congrats to John Saladino for his sailfish release! Awesome! It was also a great day for blue Marlin releases - congrats to Ian Dunn, Daniel Fisher, Adam Switzer, and Tyler, Johnson! Fantastic job!! Super shout-out to Jay Trunder for releasing his 500 lb blue marlin!! Amazing work for a first-time angler!!

What another tremendous day on the Miss Oregon Inlet Headboat!! Not only do you have the closest ride to the best fishing spots, you also have the best opportunity for some amazing fish!! Anglers on both trips today pulled in some great flounder, sea mullet, puffers, gray trout, sea bass, croakers, spot, pigs, and pins, just to name a few!!
