FISHING-REPORT-07-20-12

Jul 20, 2012

Squally weather kept most of the boats from fishing. Three inshore boats caught from 25 to 27 tailor bluefish. An openboat caught and released blacktip sharks. One of the sharks was estimated to have been 80 inches in length and qualified for a citation. Another open boat had very good speckled trout fishing in the morning. The Langly family were all outfitted in fluorescent yellow tshirts. Six members fished on one of the boats that caught 27 bluefish. The picture showed fluorescence emitted from the tshirts into neihboring atmosphere. I have never seen this before. I have worked with fluoresence and know that it has been used to produce powerful lasers. From reports here and upsound it looks good for fishing in general speckled trout, flounders and latter on striped bass.
