FISHING REPORT 06-22-17
Even with a full boat, there is still plenty of elbow room aboard the Miss Oregon Inlet! Anglers aboard the Miss Oregon Inlet enjoyed good reel action, for sure! Catches of sea mullet, flounder, pinfish, pigfish, croaker, spot, perch, and puffers were being pulled in all around the boat on both trips today! Tickets are available and advanced purchase is recommended!
Anglers on the Near Shore enjoyed some excellent spanish mac fishing again today, with good numbers of bluefish as well. But, the big story is about an epic battle between some youngsters and a great white, estimated weight between 800-1000 lbs! These anglers will have quite the story and they were HAPPY that this one got away!
Anglers on the In Shore trips also had another great day of fishing, hauling in speckled trout, flounder, sea mullet, drum, and spanish macs. Spanish and specks had some really nice weights coming across the scales, not quite trophy citation, but still plenty of good eatin'!!
Billfish action is heating up in the stream today with some anglers earning trophy citations! Congrats to Alan Bauman for his blue marlin release, to Stacey Stalnaker for a blue marlin release, to Tony Benning for a pair of white marlin releases, and to Patricia Broom for her white marlin release! Super work! The trophy citations continue for some amazing tuna catches! Congrats to Cyd Pough for an awesome big-eye, weighing in at 183 lbs and to Michael Smith for a fantastic yellow-fin, weighing in at 128 lbs! Pretty work! Congrats to Hobie Redd for hauling in an excellent wahoo, tipping the scales at 45 lbs! Great job!
