FISHING REPORT 05-31-17

May 31, 2017

The last day of May didn't disappoint, either!! The Near-Shore fleet pulled in quite a few pounds of spanish macs, some of the best spanish fishing yet this season! Anglers Near-Shore and In-Shore also pulled in bonita and puppydrum, as well as some shark and cobia.

Anglers Off-Shore landed some very nice yellow- fin tuna, big-eye tuna, wahoo, and some tile-fish. It was fantastic to meet some young anglers at the Booking Desk this evening as they were so excited to collect their first trophy citations! Their first of many, we hope!

The yellow-fin trophy citations were piling up this afternoon! Congrats to Neil Chakravarti - 70 lbs, Allison Coward - 100 lbs, Katie Ives - 88 lbs, Bobby Jergenson - 96 lbs, Andrew Lieb - 73 lbs, Matthew Ripple - 88.07 lbs, Matthew Rolfe - 107 lbs, Will Stephenson - 82 lbs, William Stephenson - 94 lbs, Kelvin Stubbs - 90 lbs, and Kenie Wrenn - 93 lbs! Amazing catches!! More big-eye tuna citations crossing the desk as well today! Congrats to Brian Cummings - 130 lbs, George Gauge - 120 lbs, Brian Johnston - 101 lbs, Regis Kraisinger - 107 lbs, Dean Marcus - 100 lbs, Bill Plasha - 136 lbs, and Brenton Ramsey - 130 lbs! Big Time! Congrats to Deven Chakravarti for a terrific tile-fish weighing in at 15.15 lbs and to Neil Chakravarti for his awesome tile-fish weighing in at 12 lbs! Great work fellas! And, these young anglers also released some shark earning themselves some trophy citations for those releases - Deven Chakravarti, Neil Chakravarti, and Drew Cutlip. Spectacular!!

Anglers on morning and afternoon trips on the Miss Oregon Inlet enjoyed some beautiful weather and some good reel action today. Catches include some sea mullet, croakers, pigs, pins, spot, and puffers. There are tickets available for both morning and afternoon trips this week. Visit www.missoregoninlet.com to book online or call us a 1-800-272-5199 to purchase your tickets. Advanced purchase is recommended.

If you'd like to be part of a Make-Up Charter, as available, visit our homepage to submit your request or drop by the Booking desk to submit your request in person. Ready to go?
