FISHING REPORT 05-27-17

May 28, 2017

The captains described the ocean as a parking lot today! Clearly, anglers know where to come for the action! Our anglers enjoyed catches of yellow-fin tuna, big-eye tuna, mahi, wahoo, and some tilefish! Congrats to our off-shore anglers for pulling in some great weights on yellow-fin tuna: Dara Reardon-82 lbs & Joseph Jenkins-101 lbs! Congrats to Augustus Collier for a nice trophy citation mahi, weighing in at 40 lbs! Awesome! Congrats to Kevin Suter for his trophy citation wahoo, weighing in at 62 lbs! Super! Congrats to anglers pulling in trophy citation tilefish: Gary Anderson-11 lb 6 oz, John Anderson-10 lbs, Ronald Brown-10 lbs, Michael Buchanan-12 lbs, Crawford Henderson-10 lbs 8 oz, and Sherman Love-12 lbs! Nice work! Congrats to anglers pulling in some very nice big-eye tuna: Chad Baxter-130 lbs, Howard Chandler-110 lbs, Brent Shoc-121 lbs! Fantastic!

Let's talk about the amazing work our captains on the Near-Shore and In-Shore are doing on their trips! Anglers are pulling in some excellent spanish macs and the cobia catches are fantastic! We're handing out the cobia trophy citations! Congrats to Charles Atkins for his 72 lb beast and to Mark Paine for his 67 lb chunker! Great work! Congrats to Ryan Elber for earning a citation for his cobia release measuring in at 38.8 inches!

The Miss Oregon Inlet anglers had a good day of fishing as well on their morning trip, pulling in some great sea mullet. There was quite a tight race for length, but the little kid wins with an amazing 13" beauty pulled in during the last 10 minutes of the trip!
