FISHING-REP[ORT-10-22-12

Oct 22, 2012

It has been sometime since wahoo have been as numerous as they have been during this month. Minta Meekins remembers a few years back when wahoo fishing was similar in August. I remenber a trip with Hank Beasley when we caught eight. In addition to wahoo yellowfin and blackfin tunas were caught. One of the wahoo measured 57 inches in length another weighed 43 pounds. Open boats in the morning caught speckled trout, grey trout, flounders and some puppy drum in the afternoon very good puppy drum and grey trout fishing with several flounders. A bottom fishing trip caught lots of black sea bass and several trout. The sea bass tended to be undersize the size limit.
