FISHING-REP[ORT-10-12-12

Offshore boats had an interesting variety of fish.Once again wahoos dominated the scene. In addition to wahoo there were blackfin tunas, olphin which most of the dolphin were gaffer size. Scattered amongst the catches were marlin white and blue all caught and released.One boat had 14 wahoos a 68 pound yellowfin tuna and a mako shark another boat had a blue marlin 4 white marlin and 7 wahoos, a third boat had 15 blackfin tuna and a dolphin. Two boats were booked by Combat Warriors, Inc. The members of each boat's parties were wounded service men. They were Dean Isaacs Kevin Holland and Bill Warren. Kevin Holland's son a highschool student not yet a veterin may wind up one if he follows his father in the army.This group is pictured in the first picture. Open boats had good trout fishing both speckled and grey. One open boat caught flounders,grey trout and sheepsheads. Look for more pictures of today's catch tommorrow there are some great wahoo shots.

Oregon Inlet Fishing Center is open Monday-Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed on Sundays.
