FISHING IS HOTT!

Jun 12, 2013

This morning was as pretty as they get! The sun was out, barely any wind, and it was slick calm in the basin. We had a completely empty marina this morning with the exception of one private boat. The gut feeling about the day was a good one, and when the first boat showed up across the marsh grass we knew we were about to see it go off! It was another perfect day to watch some great fish line up on the dock. The cobia's were in trouble with the slick calm water beyond the sea buoy today, and it didn't help to have one of the baddest inshore fleets after them either! They brought in some excellent catches of blues and spanish, some really nice speckled trout, and the COBIASSS! We had some nice ones again today! The pile of citations were thick, we had an 86, 81, 64, 62, 60, 58, 55, 52, 47, 40, and a 40 pound cobia citation turned in this afternoon. For the offshore citations there was a 75# yellowfin tuna caught and a BLUE MARLIN release! This season is starting out with a bang and we hope it lasts all summer! The offshore guys absolutely nailed the tunas again today! There were 27 boats that went out and 27 boats that got their limit. And two of our boats went out twice with different groups! Like I have said to you before, now is the time to book your trip!!! Get it while its good!!! Call us before 7 every day of the week or go online and book it at home! Be sure to like us on facebook so you can see when the boats are coming in! You can also follow us on Twitter! Let's go catch 'em!!!
