FISHING FEATURE: SEA ERA

Feb 17, 2016

Sea Era captained by Captain Dean Johnson is included in the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center's Near Shore charter fleet. The Sea Era was designed and constructed by Captain Dean at Johnson Boat Works. It is a 42 foot charter boat with a 14 1/2 foot beam which provides you with a stable and comfortable ride with plenty of room. The Sea Era is powered by a C-9, 510 horsepower Caterpillar diesel engine and has a relaxing cruise speed of 20 knots plus. The cockpit is fitted with 4 comfortable chairs and the boat also has a roomy salon for your relaxation to and from the fishing locations. Sea Era is stocked with the latest in radar and fish finding equipment and state-of-the-art tackle and fishing gear. Captain Dean is a native of the Outer Banks and has fished the Graveyard of the Atlantic for almost 40 years. Captain Dean began his fishing career as a mate out of Oregon Inlet Fishing Center and earned his captain's license in 1977. He has experience fishing all levels of fishing from Off Shore to Sound fishing. While fishing with Captain Dean on the Sea Era expect to catch Cobia, Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, Blues, Tilefish, Amberjack and Albacore, among other species. Andrew Neely says the following about Captain Dean and the Sea Era, "The boys had a great time Wednesday morning fishing for Spanish Mackerel. Thanks for helping make vacation memories that the kids will never forget!" Take advantage of Captain Dean's experience and enjoy the wind in your face, the smell of the salt air, the breathtaking scenery of the Outer Banks and make your fishing dreams come true! You can book a half day or a full day of fishing the pristine waters of the Outer Banks with Captain Dean on the Sea Era. Give us a call at the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center at 1-800-272-5199 to book your fishing expedition.
