FISHING FEATURE: QUALIFIER

Feb 3, 2016

Captain Fin Gaddy is one of our Offshore Captains. He began his own charter career in 1997 aboard the Qualifier. Captain Fin Gaddy began fishing at the age of 12 out of Morehead City, NC. In 1989 he moved to Nags Head and mated for Captain Hank Beasley. Fin has fished locations around the world. Fishing in so many different locations and diverse conditions provides Captain Fin and his mate, Nate Walker, the upper-hand in many circumstances. Captain Fin and Nate fish over a half dozen tournaments each year catching everything from tuna to marlin. Oregon Inlet opens the gateway to some of the East Coast's most spectacular offshore fishing and Captain Fin knows where to find the fish in order to provide you with the fishing experience that you have dreamed about. Bruce Lee gave the following review, "Awesome Crew!! Our group had a great time. The Captain showed his experience level when putting in the extra efforts to get a hold on the leader of a Blue Marlin. The mate made extra efforts to show hospitality and assist when needed. We would definitely recommend the Qualifier for an offshore trip!!" The Qualifier was completely refurbished in 2014 and is a 55 foot James Hudson powered by a 3412 CAT engine. The cruise speed is an easy 30 knots. The cabin is luxuriously furnished with air conditioning, microwave, TV, VCR, stereo, CD and is also equipped with the most modern radar, navigation/communication electronics and thermal imaging. As with all of our charters, all bait and tackle are provided for your trip and no fishing license is required. Give us a call today to book a trip on Qualifier; 1-800-272-5199. You can book on- line at oregon-inlet.com. Qualifier has a Facebook page that you can find at Qualifier Charters. You can also check out his fishing reports on his website at qualifiercharters.com.
