FISHING FEATURE: GAL-O-MINE

Feb 2, 2016

If you are looking for a fun, exciting and successful fishing voyage look no further than Gal-O-Mine and Captain Benji York. Gal-O-Mine is part of our Near Shore Charter Fleet and you are able to fish either a half day or a full day with Captain Benji. Captain Benji started his fishing career at the young age of 16 and has been fishing the waters of the Outer Banks for over 50 years. Captain Benji has lived in and around the Outer Banks all of his life and has the knowledge and expertise to put you on the fish. He began his career as a mate and after obtaining his Captain's license, Captain Benji started as an Off Shore Captain. After fishing Off Shore for many years, Captain Benji moved to our Near Shore Fleet on Gal-O-Mine. Captain Benji and his mate (and son) Travis will do everything possible to make your fishing trip an exhilarating and memorable experience. While fishing Near Shore on Gal-O-Mine you can anticipate catching Blue Fish, Spanish Mackerel, Tile Fish, Sea Bass, Cobia and Grouper, among other species. The Gal-O-Mine has high-tech navigational equipment and radar. The cabin is equipped with a microwave and other amenities. The Gal-O-Mine will provide you with a relaxing and comfortable outing and the skills that Captain Benji and his first mate possess will assure you a good day of fishing. Book a trip for your family or a group of your friends and expect a fun-filled day of fishing the picturesque waters off the North Carolina Coast. Donna H. fished with Captain Benji in August of 2015 and says, We took 2 children and 4 adults fishing with Captain Benji and first mate Travis on Gal-O-Mine. They decided to head out to deep water to catch shark for the kids. That was fantastic because we caught 6. The kids loved it! Then the Captain got word that other boats found ribbon fish so we headed over there. That is when the kids and adults caught a lot of ribbon fish. The things I really like about our crew was their continued concern for safety of the kids. I really appreciated their attention and Travis was very patient with our kids on their first big ocean fishing. Thanks guys.
