FISHING FEATURE: FIGHT-N-LADY

Jan 19, 2016

Few things can compete with the fun, challenge and beauty of fishing the beautiful deep waters of the Gulf Stream. Captain Sam Stokes and his mate, Roger Parker of the Fight-N-Lady take pleasure in making certain your fishing trip is one that you will never forget. Captain Sam Stokes has been fishing for over 40 years at Oregon Inlet. He began in his early teens as a mate at Oregon Inlet Fishing Center. By the age of 12 Sam was captaining his own boat and has skippered the Fight-N-Lady ever since. A couple of major catches include the 1987 landing of a 1,020 pound blue marlin and also a 918 pound blue marlin caught in the Pirates Cove Bill Fish Tournament. The Fight-N-Lady is a 53 foot custom built Carolina sportfisherman, built by the legendary Omie Tillett. The vessel is powered by a 1,000 horsepower Caterpillar diesel engine which cruises at a comfortable 25 knots. The relaxing salon is outfitted with air conditioning, microwave, TV, VCR, stereo and CD player. The boat also has the latest radar and navigation electronics available. Complete sets of tackle for each different type of fishing style are available to make certain no opportunity is lost. If you crave the fight of landing the fish of your dreams, give us a call here at Oregon Inlet Fishing Center and book the Fight-N-Lady and Captain Sam Stokes. Call us toll-free at 1-800- 272-5199 or book your excursion on-line at oregon- inlet.com. Check out Captain Sam's website at fight-n-lady.com.
