FISH PROPOSALS

Jul 14, 2013

What a gorgeous but choppy day out on the water! There were 6-8 footers in the gulfstream for most of the morning. 13 boats made it yesterday and 4 Inshore boats went on All day trips. They came back with Cobia, Speckled Trout, Puppy Drum, and a mess of Triggerfish! Since it was going to be a good day to ride out, I decided to get a fishing report from the boat instead. The morning was so pretty and the water looked calm riding out. It was a little choppy but once we set out we instantly had a Blue Marlin crash our left long rigger on a tuna bait. When he hit it was game on from there!!! What was even more exciting was that we had an engagement happening on the Skiligal at the same time the Blue one was caught! One of our old booking desk girls, and friends Jenny and her boyfriend Snapper were out fishing beside us and as soon as they set out, he pulled out the ring box!!! It was pretty exciting to start the morning out with a Blue Marlin and a Ring!!! Congratulations!!!! We are all so happy for you and excited that we got to share that with you two!!!

After that we trolled around the rest of the morning trying to grab a tuna or a dolphin and ended up catching one of each. Some of the other guys were slowly picking at the tunas and doing pretty well for the conditions. There were some Bigeyes caught and we even saw one boat hook up twice! There was life everywhere! Pilot Whales were right beside all the boats in the fleet. There were some nice fish caught, 2 Bigeye Tuna citations of 182 and 156 LBS! We also had a 46 LB dolphin and a 45 LB Cobia brought in. We've got 13 boats fishing again today so hopefully they will get 'em!!! There are some Nearshore and Inshore trips fishing today too, if you want to book a fun trip with the family or some friends, it would be a great time to get out and enjoy the weekend. We have PM trips available today and there are Make-up trips available all week. We can put you together with 5 other people or match your groups together perfectly so you can get the chance to crank in your own fish story. Give us a call from now (5am) up until 7pm this evening and we will rig you up! 252.441.6301 or book your trips online!!! Have a great Sunday everyone!!!
