FEATURE REPORT: TUNA FEVER

Jan 24, 2016

OFF-SHORE FLEET Mate: Steven Hall

Nearly half of a century of fishing excellence is what you have with Captain Billy Maxwell and First Mate Steven Hall, when you step aboard "Tuna Fever"! Captain Billy knows what it takes to give his anglers a most successful trip and his anglers are always priority number one. Whether he is reviewing the latest gear or enhancing his boat or checking the latest forecast, he keeps his anglers abilities, needs, safety, and comfort at the forefront. Captain Billy establishes an open partnership with all of his charter groups and works with the group on every detail to ensure you have a most memorable adventure. His level of integrity and attention to every detail is what keeps his anglers coming back year after year. His First Mate, Steven Hall has been fishing over two decades and is a powerhouse in the cockpit, muscling monsters onto the deck with speed and finesse.

"Tuna Fever" is a sleek 57 foot custom masterpiece by legendary Outer Banks boat builder Buddy Cannady. She sports a 1000 hp Caterpillar marine engine that will power you to Gulf Stream at a cruising speed of 25 knots. At the helm, Captain Billy has an impressive array of the latest electronics to get the job done, GPS, Loran, Plotter, Radar, and 2 radios. The salon boasts spacious comfortable seating, ample food preparation area, bunk space, media components, and a restroom. Having just received a 2016 facelift, she's looking like a brand new boat!! "Tuna Fever" also has excellent air-conditioning and heating, giving anglers the opportunity to fish in comfort in any season. The tackle locker is equipped for full-scale assault, loaded with everything from spinning tackle and light tackle rigs to heavy big game outfits and down riggers, and anglers will be ready for whatever species the seasons have to offer. You have a 3-chair deck and a fighting chair has your name on it!! Don't wait too long to grab your spot on the deck, though. With more than 80% of his anglers coming back annually, open dates won't stay open long!!
