FEATURE REPORT: SKILIGAL

Jan 23, 2016

OFF-SHORE FLEET

Captain: Dave Peck

Mate: Jason Sadler

Captain Dave loves everything about fishing; sunrise on the water, hearing drags scream and hoping for a monster tuna or billfish on the line, watching poles bend as his angler fights the fish of their dreams! Captain Dave prides himself on giving his charter groups the best action and the most opportunities to meat in the box. Young or old, novice or seasoned angler, he wants his anglers to have an excellent experience off-shore and get hooked on fishing just as he is. He has been charter fishing out of Oregon Inlet for more than 20 years and has a large base of repeat customers returning annually to fish with him. Anglers who began fishing with him as a child are now returning with their children and Captain Dave is thrilled to host those multi- generational gatherings, helping to cultivate and sustain the future of Outer Banks fishing. His First Mate, Jason Sadler, is a first-class, seasoned deckhand who manages the deck with ease and efficiency. Take a look through the "Skiligal" Facebook page to see what his anglers are saying and why they give a 5 star review!

The "Skiligal" is another Buddy Cannady custom- built work of art, measuring in at 52 foot and sporting a big Detroit marine engine that will carry you to the Gulf-Stream at a brisk 25 knot cruising speed. Captain Dave has the latest navigational technology at his fingertips, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and adventurous day on the water. The cabin is spacious with cozy seating, a microwave, air-conditioning, and a well-maintained restroom. You'll find plenty of room to move about the deck or take a load off in 1 of 3 seats to bask in your surroundings. Captain Dave's anglers have hauled in some hardy fish on the top quality tackle he stocks aboard the "Skiligal". Whether you prefer to sit in the fighting chair or experience the thrill of a standup fight, Captain Dave has you covered. He always suggests you bring a bucketful of smiles and a camera as you will definitely find the opportunity to use both as you enjoy your great adventure on the "Skiligal".
