EVERY DAY IS A TOURNAMENT

Aug 24, 2013

Another correction, we had 11 charter boats and 1 private boat fish Offshore on Friday. Boats returned with White Marlin counts of 12, 11, 10, 7 plus a Blue, 5 plus a Sail, 3, 3, 3, 2 plus a limit of dolphin, 2, 1 plus a Blue and 1 plus a limit of dolphin. Overall pretty good fishing considering there were 60+ Tournament boats fishing beside everyone out there. Yes, the tournament guys drove right back to where we are fishing, because they are allowed to fish within 100 miles! As far as the tournament ranking right now, one of our boats the Bi-Op-Sea is holding 3rd place with a grand total of 16 white marlins caught in 2 days- 6 white Marlin and a Blue Marlin the first day and 9 Whites on Friday! The boat in the lead holding First place is the Tarheel-with Captain John Bayliss and his son little John of Bayliss Boatworks here in Wanchese with 9 Whites on Thursday and 13 Friday, total count of 22 fish for their 2 days. They said he caught 8 fish within the first 30 Minutes!!! Great Job guys!!!Pretty impressive fishing going on right now, and its only going to keep showing more numbers. We have trips available this week coming up but the days are filling in so do not wait to reserve your date. This morning the wind picked up a little so we will see how many boats make it out. Inshore and Nearshore are snagging some of the prettiest Bluefish we have seen all summer! Also Triggerfish and limits of Speckled Trout and Puppy Drum. Even the Miss Oregon Inlet has been bringing home Gray Trout and Flounder. Thursday a man caught a 21" keeper Flounder which was the biggest one so far. School starts Monday so hop on board with us and try to pretend that the summer is never going to end, you have 2 days! The Miss O.I. doesn't fish on Sundays but we have boats available Inshore and Nearshore so just give us a call at 252.441.6301 or book online. We will be in the office at 5am this morning! Get your groups together and we will see you at the dock! Have a great day!
