DID THAT JUST HAPPEN?

Sep 2, 2013

Whhhhaattttt!!!!!????? Is it REALLY September??

Unbelievable that we are now starting the last month of sunshine :( We are still rollin' though!!

Today there were approximately 17 White Marlin caught, but that is because it was a MEAT FEST on the deck this afternoon! We had over 175 Blackfins and limits of dolphin lined up back to back with each other. A couple Yellowfin are still showing up but the ones that do are some nice ones! It looked like we had a pretty huge Bull dolphin caught out there today, he was most definitely over 35 lbs... When their heads are comparable to the size of a stop sign you know they are going to be a record fish! A couple Wahoo's were going on the grill tonight too but we will be seeing more of those and the Mako's through September we hope. There have been 4 or 5 Mako's caught within the last week and the biggest one I have heard about was 150 lbs so far. Mako (shark) and Wahoo are some GOOD Eating!! But they are not as common to find as Tuna and Dolphin unfortunately... so if you get one, its definitely a treat!!!

Inshore had a great day with the Triggerfish and Speckled Trout! Speckles do well with the full moon so keep that in mind too, (pssstt... book your trip in advance so you don't miss out!)

One Cobia brought in this morning as well, they are still out there my friends, keep your bucktails out.

Nearshore had another great round of Bluefish and Spanish fishing this morning and afternoon. It was super gorgeous right outside the inlet, it sprinkled off and on but the sun was around the majority of the day for them thank goodness!

Monday is LABOR DAY!!! Which reminds us... The Miss Oregon Inlet will be switching her trips back to ONE TRIP A DAY starting Labor Day. They will go out at 8 and come back in around 12:30. She will still only sail 6 days a week (Sundays off) and our last day is always on Halloween! October 31st is the very last Hoo-rah for the season!! 6 years old and under are 36$ a ticket and anything above that is 46$. Receive a dollar discount if you pay cash, also remember that you can book your tickets in advance. Tickets are first-come first-served. Give us a Call to book your trips at 252.441.6301 1.800.272.5199 or do it right here On-Line with just a couple clicks!

We hope you will take advantage of the last day of our Labor Day Sale, its never too early to stock up on Christmas gifts either! Keep in mind, we will not be having another 30% off sale like this until our Black Friday sale.

We want to say CONGRATULATIONS to yet another one of our Mates who got married (9.1.2013) this weekend! Lee and Tiffany, we wish you nothing but the BEST!!!! Happy Labor Day Everyone!!!!!
