CAPTAIN CHRIS TAMES
To the many people who knew him and had the pleasure of fishing with him aboard the Miss Oregon Inlet, Our dear friend Captain Chris Tames peacefully passed away in his sleep Monday night. It was hard to believe at first but we know that you are somewhere far greater than we could ever imagine. When we look up at the sky we will know that you are okay and hope that one day we can spend time with you and hear your stories once again. You were a teacher to many and a great friend to us all here at Oregon Inlet Fishing Center. Personally I'd like to Thank You for being my friend even at the stubborn age of 19 when you couldn't tell me any different. I will never forget the times you would pull the boat back in the slip to pick me up when I was late or yell at me when I wanted to untangle the worst knot in history. Those memories we all have of you will never be forgotten and we will always carry them close to our hearts. We send out all of our love and deepest sympathy to your family and especially your sweetheart and wife Shelia. We love you and will miss you dearly. Give Dave Bragg a hug for us. Rest peacefully old friend, until we all meet again.
