Fishing is starting to heat up as we move into May and kick off the season. Offshore anglers are beginning to see good action with yellowfin tuna, mahi mahi, wahoo, and king mackerel showing up, along with the occasional billfish mixed in.
Closer to the beach, Spanish mackerel and bluefish are providing steady action, while drum fishing continues to be productive inshore and around the inlet. Black seabass are also showing up nearshore, giving anglers plenty of opportunities for good catches.
Overall, May is bringing a solid mix of offshore and nearshore action as water temperatures continue to warm and the summer season gets underway.
