Only a couple of blackfin tunas were reported back to us from our offshore fleet, as well as some dog sharks for the nearshore guys. TGIF! We were fortunate enough to get two offshore boats out to the fishing grounds today, and the return was something to brag about! Totaling 18 yellowfin, it's only going to get better from here. Dark skies and expected winds have left our fleet sitting in their slips today. Over the winter our captains and mates have worked hard painting, prepping and getting back in time to catch some of the first bit of yellow fin tuna action. While they have had some luck over the weekend, this afternoon they will set the scene for the new Marc Basnight Bridge ribbon-cutting ceremony.
OMG! Absolutely Gorgeous outside today! The temperature is approx. 72 degrees and sunny. We had 6 boats go out today with all kinds of reports of Yellow Fin Tuna. Man, I wish I was off today enjoying this gorgeous weather! We only had one offshore boat go out today and our captain caught 6 Black Fin and 1 Yellow Fin Tuna. Albacore was also a catch. Also, one of our near shore captains caught 4 Sea Bass, a Blue Fish and a few Dog Sharks. Spring is definitely here to stay. You can't ask for better weather. OMG! What a spectacular day! The wind was perfect, the sun was out, and the buckets were full. the If you were lucky enough to be off- shore today, Mother Nature treated you right. Our captains were catching Yellow Fin and Black Fin Tuna, and one Blue Fin Tuna was caught weighing 160 lbs. Tomorrow is supposed to be another beautiful day!

Sunday may have been a zilch for fishing, but not Monday!! Anglers aboard the Smoker pulled in their limit of yellow-fin tuna today and are sure to enjoy some amazing meals for quite some time!! Congrats to anglers aboard the Trophy Hunter for pulling in good numbers of yellow-fin and a few mahi mahi! Congrats to anglers aboard the Bi-Op-Sea on landing a fantastic blue-fin tuna, measuring in at 63"! Nice work!!
