Fishing Reports
Cold and Foggy but Fishing Stays Great
A thick blanket of fog has slowly made it's way over the OBX, but that didn't stop most from getting a good bite! Offshores caught great yellowfin and a decent mahi bite! Nearshores did great with the spanish mackerel, and inshores did awesome with the speckled trout and drum!
Our second make-up trip of the 2020 season is heading out tomorrow, with more to come! Sign up online or come see us in person! Wanting a private trip? Check availability, read about boats and their captains, and book your trip online! You can also give us a call at 252-441-6301!
Magnificent Memorial Day Monday
Today was a bit cold but that didn't stop our fleets from making the most out of today. Offshore fleet brought in yellowfin tuna, blackfin tuna, and mahi, with citations for 101-lb. and 87-lb. yellowfins! Nearshores came in with spanish mackerel and our inshores are doing great with limits of speckled trout and some red drum!
We're keeping a close watch on the weather for the rest of the week, and as of right now everything is looking good! We're booking make-up charters now, our first one of the season goes out tomorrow (5/26)! You can sign up online or in person here at OIFC.

Box Full & Home Early
Coming home early from fishing typically isn't a fun affair.... unless the reason is the fish box being too full to fit anymore! That was the case today; we got got our first wave of boats returning at 1pm and trickling in the remainder of the day. Our offshore fleet came back to the docks with blackfin, big eye and yellowfin tuna as well as mahi. The inshore crews played catch and release with drum and flounder, but kept limits of speckled trout!
We've got scattered availability this week, so if you would like to book your next fishing adventure call 252-441-6301 or take a look online at oregon-inlet.com.
Patience Paid Off
After our season kick off was put on hold by a pandemic, we tried a second go-around only to be stunted by a weeks worth of wind and waves. Looks like we have paid our dues because the bite is back! Our offshore fleet brought meat to the docks; yellow and black fin tuna, wahoo, mahi, and even a blue marlin release! Our nearshore and inshore followed suit with cobia, spanish mackerel, speckled trout and bluefish.
Memorial Day weekend is looking just as busy the next couple days. To check availability for the upcoming week, give us a call at 252-441-6301 or check out our website, oregon-inlet.com!
