Magnificent mahi was what was brought to the docks today. Some even had limits! Other bites included yellow and black fin tunas as well as some wahoo and tilefish for our offshore fleet.
Our nearshore fleet is still bringing in king and spanish mackerel as well as some gaffer dolphin!
As for the inshore crews, they are loving the speckled trout. Caught on both spin and fly today!
Miss Oregon Inlet gets to rest on Sundays, but starts back on monday, bright and early, at 7am.
As for our Safari, we have a special 4th of July promotion, only available through an OIFC Reservationist. Departing at 8pm thursday July 4, 2019, the Safari Dolphin Tour boat will be sailing to Downtown Manteo Waterfront's Shallowbag Bay for the firework show! Rates are as followed: $40 per Adult (ages 13+), $35 per Senior & Veteran, $25 per Child (ages 3-12), & Free for Infants (ages 2 and under) per adult ticket. Number of infants exceeding the number of adults will be an additional $15. Cannot be combined with any other offers or discounts. The boats will be returning to the docks upon the completion of the fireworks.

The offshore boats returned with limits of tile fish, some limits of dolphin, yellowfin tuna, blackfin tuna, some wahoo, and a white marlin and sailfish release.
Nearshore anglers had good catches of Spanish mackerel, king mackerel, bluefish and albacore.
Inshore fishing yielded Spanish, mackerel, speckled trout and red drum.
Miss Oregon Inlet had catches of sea mullet, flounder, blues and croaker.
Miss Oregon Inlet will have only a morning trip on Saturday, and our Safari Dolphin Tour will be available for trips on Saturday as well.

The Oregon Inlet offshore fleet had a blast with the tunas today! Our deep sea guys brought in yellowfin, blackfin, big eyes, mahi (lots of gaffers!) along with wahoo and king mackerel! We also saw a good amount of tilefish!
The nearshores brought in spanish mackerel, albacore, and bluefish; our inshores hauled in bluefish, spanish mackerel, and speckled trout!
Our headboat has been catching flounder, grey trout, croakers, pigfish, pinfish, and spot! She's sailing tomorrow afternoon and Saturday morning! Spots are filling up so book your trip ASAP!

Offshore boats had citations for a catch and relase of Blue Marlin, Wahoo, Big Eye & Yellowfin Tuna.
Nearshore guys brought in bluefish and spanish mackrel.
Inshore guy brought in a citation for spanish mackrel & sea mullet.
We also issued a citation for private boat for a sheepshead.
The cooler temperatures made for a beautiful day for beach-goers, but, posed a challenge for fishermen.
Offshore boats hauled in Big Eye Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Blackfin Tuna, Mahi-Mahi and Bonita. Several citations were issued today for Big Eyes and Yellowfin with weights up to 166 pounds!
Nearshore vessels had a slow day with catches of blues and spanish mackrel. Inshore fishing was good with Speckled trout, Grey trout, Bluefish, and Red Drum.

It was a great day for fishin'! All of our available fleet went out to fish today. Our Offshore vessels began to return around 1:00 PM due to reaching their LIMIT's of fish! Our weighmasters issued 38 citations in all with 29 citations alone for Big Eye Tuna averaging 125 pounds! Citations for Yellowfin Tuna averaged 95 pounds!! Offshore anglers proudly displayed their catches on our decks including Big Eye Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, Tilefish, Gaffers and a few Makos!! Nearshore fishing was ALL about the Tilefish today! Inshore anglers found an abundance of Speckled Trout and a few blues on the other end of their lines.
Miss Oregon Inlet will not sail tomorrow, but, she is set to sail at 7:00 AM on Monday morning. There are currently 23 spots available for Monday, morning only! On Tuesday - Friday Miss Oregon Inlet sails at 7:00 AM and 12:00 PM. In addition, Miss Oregon Inlet will make Twilight Fishing Cruises every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 6:00 PM. The weather was ugly but the fishing was good!
Our nearshore and inshore fleet was a majority of the show today since they were able to make it out.
Inshore saw red drum, spanish & king mackerel, sea mullet, spot, and speckled trout.
Nearshore is having a good time with spanish & king mackeral as well as ribbon fish.
As for our lone offshore crew today, they brought back a mixed bag of tuna; blackfin, big eye & yellowfin!

Today was a fair day for fishing out of Oregon Inlet. Offshore boats reeled in some yellowfin, big eyes, and mahi!
Our nearshore boats brought red drum, cobia, spanish mackerel, and ribbonfish! With our inshores, they brought in ribbonfish, flounder, trout, cobia, and more red drum!

The wind and choppy waters didn't stop the show today! 41 boats left the slips this morning for a good day of fishing.
Offshore boats brought in lots of Big Eye Tuna & a few Yellowfin & Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi-Mahi/Gaffers. A few citations were issued today for a 106 lb, a 111 lb and a 90 lb Big Eye, 70 lb Yellowfin Tuna and a catch/release of a Blue Marlin.
Nearshore brought in Croaker, Sea mullet, Cobia, Ribbonfish and Spanish mackrel. Meanwhile, our inshore boats hauled in Ribbon fish, Speckled trout, Blues, Red drum, Striped Bass, and a Spinner shark!!
Miss Oregon Inlet will not be sailing tomorrow as she will be out for maintenance. There are 5 spots open for Thursday morning and 38 spots for the noon trip.

We have BEAUTIFUL weather at ORIFC and a perfect day for sunshine, waves and FISHIN'!! 34 of our boats ventured out today for some Father's Day Weekend Fun.
Offshore: Our anglers reported LOTS of Mahi-Mahi/Gaffers, Big Eye Tuna, and Tile Fish! There were also a few Grouper, a Yellowfin Tuna, a couple of Wahoo and a Amberjack. Nearshore and Inshore lines found Sea Bass, Spanish Mackrel, Ribbon Fish, Speckled Trout and a Shark on the other end!

Today, the winds kicked our offshore fleet off the water, but they didn't stop our nearshore and inshore fleets! We saw great amounts of bluefish and spanish mackerel today, along with ribbon fish, flounder, and sea mullet. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day for the offshore guys!

Despite climbing weather conditions, we had great fishing! Our offshore fleet had mixed bags of meat fish including big eye, black fin, and yellow fin tunas, gaffer mahi, and even a few wahoos!
