Man, oh man, are we happy to be fishing again. This past weeks gale has really thrown everyone in a loop!
A little rocky out there but 11 of our offshore boats were surprised and excited they could make it out. Wahoo, mahi, king mackerel, yellowfin tuna, blackfin tuna and false albacores were caught and brought back to the docks. A hooked and released sail as well!
Our nearshore boats stayed slipped today but we will see them go out tomorrow.
Inshore despite the rain the sound was slick as glass, bringing in trout and red drum.
Now that the Basnight bridge is back in action to get to Hatteras Island the Bonner Pier is open and accessible. Last week before the closure of the bride due to ocean and sand over wash on 12 there were killer sheepshead bites!
