You guys are doing a great job by booking these trips right now, a round of applause goes out to you! We can't tell you enough that you should go fishing right now! This fishing is really something. I am so excited every day to see what time the boats are coming in, and what in the world you guys have caught! Today the Inshore guys got some gorgeous Spanish Mackerels and Bluefish, Speckled Trout and Puppy Drum, and a few other interesting fishies! The kids were so excited to pose for their pictures today! It really makes it fun to see them light up when they get to show us what they caught. The Offshore boats came in early again today and the first boat was here before some of us even got to work! There were limits of Yellowfin, and some HUGE Bigeyes caught today!!! I will list off the Citations we received... 197, 174, 163, and 141 pounders!!! That's 4 huge fish plus there were 2 Blue Marlin releases! Its pretty neat to hear about the Blue Marlins feeding on these Tunas! There is a correction that needs to be made for yesterday, Along with the 132 lb Bigeye caught there was also a 180 lb Bigeye brought in! So that makes 2 yesterday and 4 today! We can only wonder what tomorrow is going to bring us! As of right now we only have trips available on Sunday for offshore so if you are trying to get out to the gulfstream next week, do not delay! We are also filling in a lot of inshore boats for the pretty weather this weekend so grab your spots! Some boats came in early inside the rain today with limits of Yellowfin Tuna, others are coming in with their limits AND the sunshine!!! Although most of them didn't fish in the rain, sometimes you just have to get wet in order to have a good day of fishing! This morning our inshore guys had some fun catching dozens of spinner sharks and black tips and hoping to find a Cobia. All I have really heard with the Cobia's is that it is pretty much shut down because of the weather. Now give it a couple pretty sunshiny days and maybe it will pick back up! There were some Spanish Mackerel's and Bluefish brought home from the AM trips this afternoon and we even had a pair of trout come in! The offshore boats keep pouring in with their limits of tuna and some gaffer dolphin! We had a monster BigEye Tuna caught weighing 132 pounds!!! Also the billfish flags were flying again! A 400lb Blue Marlin a 200lb Blue Marlin, and a few Sailfish too! There were tons of people enjoying themselves down here and checking out the fish Have a great day and don't forget to call us to book your trips or just book it right online. We are still in the meat! If you don't have enough people to go then get on a Make- up trip or half-day inshore/nearshore trip! We have all types of fishing trips to choose from and you don't want to go home without a fish story!
The first boat home today was in at 12:25! They didn't stop there. Today we had a beautiful healthy catch of yellowfin tunas and gaffers. The tuna/gaffer fishing is still good and the billfish are even weaving their way in! A couple nice Wahoo were on the docks today and out of all the boats there were 3 Sailfish, a White Marlin, and a Blue Marlin flag flying in the wind this afternoon! Seems like the wind has been nothing but annoying so pray for it to just fall out already! Our Inshore fleet came in today with Spanish Mackerels and Bluefish for dinner and one actually found a couple Cobia's swimming with some Blacktip Sharks out there. There were some Blacktips caught on the fly today as well! It turned out to be a really nice day for a lot of folks and we can only hope that the fishing will continue on. The time is now, and you need to book your trip if you're ready to go. We have all kinds of trips available this week so catch them before they're gone! Call 1.800.272.5199 or do it right on the home page! The Miss Oregon Inlet is always available to get you off land too so don't forget about her! Have a great evening!!!
Happy Father's Day everyone!!! We all here at Oregon Inlet Fishing Center hope you are having a great day with your Dad's, Grandpa's and Kid's!!! We had a lot of Father's Day fishing trips today! Inshore we had a couple cobia's, drum, and a couple spanish mackerels and bluefish. It was great to see the dad's having a great time with their daughter's and son's after their trip was over! The guys to arrive home first from offshore said that it was all you wanted and the pictures taken today really showed that to be the truth! We had some excellent yellowfin tuna fishing and even gaffer dolphin fishing was great for some of the guys! We had a 65 lb wahoo caught also that was as tall as the kid who caught it! All in all it was a great day to be out there and come back with dinner! The headboat is ready to roll in the morning! Click back to the main page and book your tickets in advance! There are also make-up trips and half-day inshore trips available but please be sure to reserve your date early so that you don't miss out! You don't want to miss out on the fishing that we have been having!!! Have a great evening!!!
Today was your average Saturday. The boat ramp was packed, every offshore boat was gone, the inshore guys were taking AM and PM trips and bringing home some Bluefish and Spanish Mackerels, and the sun was shining away. We had some offshore boats come in as early as 11:00 with their limit of yellowfin tuna, so yes they are still out there!! The temperature drop and the wind from yesterday was probably not a great thing for our consecutively great fishing we have had, but maybe it needed another day to fizzle out. The fish brought in today were still really nice fish and as of right now our fish cleaners are still tackling their orders. The meat will still be coming home today! We had some citations also for inshore and offshore! There were a few billfish caught, a Blue Marlin, two White Marlins, and A Sailfish! Also an 80 lb Yellowfin Tuna, a 75 and 65 lb Cobia!!! Today was a great day for everyone and there were a lot of happy people at the docks! Tomorrow is Father's Day so hopefully everyone fishing will be in store for a wonderful day on the water tomorrow! Bring your kids down and see us and don't forget to show them the Miss Oregon Inlet! She doesn't go fishing on Sundays but we have tickets available all next week for the whole family!

If you went fishing today, then you're probably ready for a nap! I'm not even going to sugar coat it! Most of our inshore/nearshore boats even stayed on this side of the inlet, or not much further than the old Coast Guard Station. Our first offshore boat came in right before lunchtime with their limit. Everyone got their tunas today and some also caught themselves a wahoo! There was also another nice spanish mackerel and bluefish bite inshore and a couple puppy drums. The weather was a little cooler today but the forecast for tomorrow is supposed to be a beautiful warm day and the winds are going to calm down to 5-10. We all anticipate what tomorrow will bring, but with conditions like tomorrow's we should be good! Don't forget we still have some trips available this weekend for you to take out Dad and Grandpa, and it is not too late to come up and get them a gift certificate either! Be sure to keep up with us on Twitter @FISHOIFC and/or Facebook (click the link on the homepage) for all of the happenings going on down here tomorrow! We want to be sure to keep you in the bite! Today was a hard day to choose what picture to post first. There were so many families and kids that were so excited and completely enjoying themselves! The people that come down here are some of the friendliest people in the world! Every boat that went today had a great day. We had calmer conditions this morning and had boats coming in early again from the gulfstream!!! The first boat to arrive was here at 10:55! The limits of tuna continue to pour into the marina with a handful of dolphin thrown into the mix. Every day is a new day but we just keep dipping into the fish pool and hoping it all stays right here! The Captain's all say the fishing hasn't been like this in 8-10 years. Its a beautiful thing!!! There were a couple boats that had some billfish action today, and I forgot to mention yesterday that one of our boats caught 1 out of 5 blue marlins!!! Today we had a 300 lb blue marlin release and a sailfish release. The inshore guys keep on gettin' them too! There were piles of bluefish and Spanish brought home for both am and pm trips, and some really nice cobias as well. We had 4 citation's cobia's caught, they were: 72, 60, 42, and a 40 lbs. We had 2 boats also catch their cobias and shark on the fly today! Tomorrow is supposed to be another beautiful day and the wind is supposed to fall out overnight. This morning was as pretty as they get! The sun was out, barely any wind, and it was slick calm in the basin. We had a completely empty marina this morning with the exception of one private boat. The gut feeling about the day was a good one, and when the first boat showed up across the marsh grass we knew we were about to see it go off! It was another perfect day to watch some great fish line up on the dock. The cobia's were in trouble with the slick calm water beyond the sea buoy today, and it didn't help to have one of the baddest inshore fleets after them either! They brought in some excellent catches of blues and spanish, some really nice speckled trout, and the COBIASSS! We had some nice ones again today! The pile of citations were thick, we had an 86, 81, 64, 62, 60, 58, 55, 52, 47, 40, and a 40 pound cobia citation turned in this afternoon. For the offshore citations there was a 75# yellowfin tuna caught and a BLUE MARLIN release! This season is starting out with a bang and we hope it lasts all summer! The offshore guys absolutely nailed the tunas again today! There were 27 boats that went out and 27 boats that got their limit. And two of our boats went out twice with different groups! Like I have said to you before, now is the time to book your trip!!! Get it while its good!!! Call us before 7 every day of the week or go online and book it at home! Be sure to like us on facebook so you can see when the boats are coming in! You can also follow us on Twitter! Let's go catch 'em!!!
Regardless of the weather today our 6 boats that headed offshore this morning knew what they were after. They roughed the seas and found themselves surrounded by all kinds of life. Some of the people shared their stories of hundreds of dolphins swimming on every wave out there and sharks grabbing the ends of their tunas. There seems to be another world out there right now that we can only hope to imagine how cool it really is. There have been some beautiful fish brought home from our entire fleet lately. Everything from Giant Marlin to Giant Mackerel's. Its a great time to be on the water right now! Our Offshore boats that went out all had the opportunity for a limit of tuna today. It was definitely choppy out there but some stayed and pulled through with the day. The ones that did made another excellent day on the books and another group of people happy! Our inshore fleet came in today with another Spanish mackerel/bluefish catch per boat. One of the Spanish measured 24"! Fishing right outside the Inlet and snagging these pretty fish makes for a great morning or afternoon trip and the kids have a ball! We have every boat booked for offshore tomorrow and the weather seems to be in their favor. The Inshore fleet and the Miss Oregon Inlet will be out tomorrow as well. If you are ready to get out there we are ready to take you so give us a call or book it online as soon as you can! Trips are limited and you don't want to miss out on a great day fishing out of the best place in the world, Oregon Inlet!!!
This morning was another empty marina with all of our boats fishing today. The first offshore boat to arrive home was pulling into their slip by 10:15a.m. It was another early day for the offshore fleet with limits of those gorgeous yellowfin tunas and some gaffer dolphin. We saw a couple 35 lb gaffer dolphins thrown on the dock too which is definitely a pretty sight! Some of our people reported they saw a football field of tunas schooling together with pilot whales and other kinds of sea-life, it must have been neat to see! We had a big wahoo come in today, and there was a white marlin released. Two citations were also handed out for 81 lb yellowfin tunas. Our inshore boats came home from their AM and PM trips with some of the prettiest Spanish mackerels you're ever going to see! Bluefish and Cobias were caught as well, One cobia weighed 76 lbs! 10 Citations were turned in today and we couldn't be more thrilled with today's results! The Inshore guys got their Spanish Mackerals, a couple Triggerfish and Cobias today, one Cobia weighed in at 92 lbs! The offshore guys came in as early as 11:15 today with their limits of Yellowfin Tunas and Gaffer Dolphin! There was also an extraordinary Blue Marlin release today on the Hooker. They caught a Yellowfin Tuna and had a Blue Marlin come out of the water and devour it, they hooked the marlin and releasing it after getting it to the boat! Captain Tom said it was as close to 1000_lbs as it gets. There were reports of all kinds of life out on the water today from the Captains like pilot whales, manta rays, sea turtles, and sharks. There were a couple Tunas that came in today without a tail. As much as it hurt to take a day off yesterday from the tuna bite, the few that made it out got rewarded for sure. Boats hit the slips around 2:30 today with their limit of Yellowfin Tuna, and some had catches of the prettiest gaffers you've ever seen. It's a nice thing to know that the storm didn't push our fish away. We had some inshore action on the one boat that went today also, they ended up snagging themselves a pair of Cobias! One was 56lbs!!! Also there was an 81 lb Yellowfin caught today! Tomorrow every single boat is fishing but the girls behind the desk are putting together make-up trips left and right.
