FISHING REPORT 1-17-12

Jan 18, 2012

Weather was not the greatest but we did have an inshore boat go out in the afternoon. They returned back to the dock with a 63 inch bluefin tuna. This was caught within a 1/2 mile from shore. This was quite a surprise. They were scouting for stripers or whatever was out there to be caught. What a great afternoon of fishing.

FISHING REPORT 1-16-12

We had 2 offshore charters out today. The bluefin tuna were hard to find but we did a catch of a few yellowfin tuna. More wind and cold weather coming today. Maybe with only 1 day of warm weather the water won't warm up too much. We are stilling looking for some stripers. We have an inshore charter scheduled for Tuesday afternoon. Hope for a good report if they make it out. More news as we fish.

Weather has kept the boats in this week. We did have a nearshore boat out yesterday. Plenty of dogfish but no sign of stripers. The stripers are running about 3 weeks late due to such a mild winter so far. Friday weather looks good and we have an offshore charter going out. If you would like to go fishing there is plenty of availablity and makeup charters are availableif you don't have a full party of six. More news as we have fish.
