The Captain
Lee Johnson, a native of Wanchese, NC, is a third generation charter boat captain with nearly 30 years fishing experience out of Oregon Inlet Fishing Center. Lee's passion for fishing was ignited in early childhood fishing the docks of Wanchese and spending many long days on the water with his grandfather. Following in his father's footsteps, Lee spent 16 years as an offshore mate both out of Oregon Inlet Fishing Center and out of the country during the winter months, working with many outstanding captains such as Harry Baum, Paul Spencer, Dean Johnson, Arch Bracher, Billy Maxwell, and Barry Sawyer.
