There was also 1 wahoo brought in today and a couple of mako shark releases. One private boat reported in with a sailfish release.

Just an absolutely gorgeous day on the water for our anglers today! On Mother's Day eve (did you catch that fella's?), all off-shore boats were enjoying this great spring day and pulling in a variety of catches. It looks like today was the semi-official kick-off to the season. All but 3 boats sailed this morning, enjoying a ride much calmer than yesterday morning. The yield was all over the map, literally, today. Congrats to Benjamin Mahoney for his blue marlin release!! Nice work!! Tuna catches were a bit slower than what we like to see, but nearly half way to limits for most vessels made for a decent day overall. There were good numbers of mahi and wahoo, as well as a king mac or two. The albacore action made for some fun fishing. There were also a few mako releases.

There were also some mako releases today, as well.
Anglers In-Shore were enjoying some good action, pulling in rockfish and bluefish. They also found a school of slot-size drum, bringing in their limit for the trip! Definitely some nice tablefare for these anglers!
